Dear Fellow Class of 1999'ers,
Reunion has come and gone. Those of us who attended had a great time. There were only 13 of us (plus three guests),
but we had a blast cruising down the Hudson River, strutting our stuff at the
Parade of Classes and partying down at the Desmond. Check out who came.
We only wish more of you could have joined us for the festivities.
You can check out photos from some of the events.
Some news came out of the Reunion. First of all, we earned the "Best Ratio" Award at the parade. Seven women and two men!
Wait, isn't that opposite the ratio while we were at RPI? We also got the "Most Refined" Award for our bribe of champagne for the judges
(including giving Pres. Jackson her champagne in a souvenir glass from our senior year! (Nice touch, thanks to Christine Ciccone).
We also have some new Reunion Committee positions.
Katya Roytburd is now Reunion Chair (in charge of coordinating all the planning for our next reunion, and hopefully other events);
Seth Goodchild will remain class president;
Chris DiPalma has agreed to remain Reunion Vice-Chair (and vice president of our class);
Christine Ciccone will remain class treasurer;
Sue Pelkey has agreed to be networking chair (basically help us keep in touch with the rest of the Class of 1999).
Also, a big thank-you to Ken Ralph who was our dinner speaker and spent the evening hanging out with us.
For a relatively new guy (hired in 2002) he really has a lot of school spirit and some great plans. He talked about
the new athletic center that will be built up near the field house and mentioned that RPI will be bringing back Homecoming.
So those of you who missed reunion can come back and hang out this fall instead!
You can read about what Ken Ralph did before RPI on the Campus News
web site .
