Greetings Rensselaer Musicians!
Help to name the Conductor's Suite in honor of Joel Dolven |
Rensselaer is in the middle of a true renaissance encompassing every aspect of campus life. As part of this transformation, Rensselaer is embarking on a major development of its arts program with the construction of the visionary Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center (EMPAC).
This renaissance presents an opportune moment to honor those who participated in campus musical organizations, and specifically Joel Dolven, long time Director of Music at Rensselaer. |

Professor Dolven is held in high esteem by those who sang in the RPI glee club or played in the band or orchestra. As a friend, mentor, and conductor, Joel Dolven’s dedication and pursuit of excellence continue to be an inspiration to a generation of music-loving graduates.
The names that you see below are individuals who have offered initial gifts to the unrestricted endowment at Rensselaer in honor of Joel Dolven. When we reach our goal of $150,000, Rensselaer will name the Conductor’s Suite in the new Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center for Joel Dolven. The Suite will stand as a reminder of Professor Dolven’s impact on Rensselaer over a course of nearly 30 years, in an unsurpassed facility that will allow tomorrow’s students to extend the rich history of music at Rensselaer.
I encourage you to join us in support of the Joel Dolven Conductor’s Suite. Your gift counts toward Renaissance at Rensselaer: The Campaign for Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and will be an inspiration to alumni who participated in and appreciated the musical history of the Institute. Please contact Jeff Schanz, Director of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving, at schanj@rpi.edu or (518) 276-6205, for information or to make your gift, or to give securely online via credit card, click here. Be sure to designate your gift to unrestricted endowment for the Joel Dolven Conductor’s Suite.
