Everyone is welcome to Homecoming, but there are some special groups that will be returning to celebrate milestones and enjoy reunions:

Friday, Oct. 17
Homecoming Registration - 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Heffner Alumni House. Pick up your information packet and meet up with friends. Everyone who registers receives a free gift.
EMPAC GRAND OPENING EVENT: 360° Screen Interactive Installations - 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.

Greek ChowderFest - 6-8:30 p.m. Heffner Alumni House Great Room. Greek alumni are invited to come together with Greek student leaders to kick off Homecoming Weekend. Visit the ChowderFest site for more details and photos of last year's event.
Poly Reception & Buffet Dinner - 6-9 p.m.
Folsom Library. Get reacquainted with friends and browse a display of archive issues of The Poly.
Alumni MusicFest Sing-Along - 7-9 p.m. Rensselaer Union.
Improvcapella - 8-10:30 p.m. EMPAC Theater. Mix and match the Rensselyrics’ great contemporary acapella with the side-splitting comedy improvisation of Sheer Idiocy, and add artistic production from the RPI Players and you have Improvcapella.
Class of 2003 Welcome Reception 9 p.m.-Midnight. Reception at the Rensselaer Union Pub, followed by a Downtown Troy Pub Crawl.
Saturday, Oct. 18

Poly Roundtable Discussions - 9 a.m.-Noon
Rensselaer Union. The Poly has come a long way these past 125 years and it has been a witness to some of the greatest events of the campus and the nation. Join editors past and present for a panel discussion about where we've been and where we are going as the campus's newspaper. Topics will include the changing nature of campus media, evolving technologies and techniques, and the challenges faced over the years.

Homecoming Tailgate Lunch - 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Hassan Quad. EVERYONE attending Homecoming is welcome!!! A picnic lunch will be served in spacious tents overlooking the ’86 Field. Relax with friends and enjoy hamburgers, hot dogs, salads, desserts, and drinks. An adult beverage tent will be available. This is a great place for Greeks to meet up with your brothers and sisters, too. Special seating will be available for the Class of 2003, MusicFest alumni, Poly alumni, and General Electric employees.
Class of 2008 Gift Dedication - 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Rensselaer Union. Join members of the Class of 2008 as they dedicate their Class Gift, the restored Carillon, and hear the first playing of alma mater at noon. Open to all Homecoming attendees.
RPI Football vs. Susquehanna - 1-4 p.m.

MusicFest Tours & Buffet Dinner - 3–6 p.m.
Take a tour of EMPAC, and see the room that we plan to name in honor of Joel Dolven, thanks to our fund-raising efforts. Sing, rehearse the alma mater and national anthems, and enjoy the buffet prior to the men’s hockey game.
Class of 2003 5th Reunion Celebration - 3-7 p.m.
Commons Quad. The Class of 2003 will celebrate with a volleyball tournament, games, and an informal buffet dinner. Join your classmates for what is sure to be the highlight of the weekend!

Legacy Reception – 4:30-7 p.m.
Heffner Alumni House. Legacy families are invited to join President Shirley Ann Jackson for a reception. Young Alumni Trivia Night – 4:30-7 p.m.
Rensselaer Union Pub. Come test your knowledge of RPI and Troy trivia with other members of the classes of ’08–’98.

RPI Men's Hockey vs. Bentley – 7 p.m.
Houston Field House. Featuring the national anthems and alma mater presented by MusicFest alumni. Special interest groups will be seated together. Register using the form that will be mailed and available online in early September.
Ramsey Lewis Trio Performance – 8-10 p.m.
EMPAC. The RPI Jazz Ensemble will perform, followed by Ramsey Lewis. The concert is free, but tickets are required. Register using the form that will be mailed and available online in early September.
Post-Game Ice House – 9 p.m.-Midnight
Heffner Alumni House. Join the men’s hockey team and coaches for a post-game reception featuring snacks and a cash bar.

Poly Brunch and Special Issue Design Session – 10 a.m.-Noon
Rensselaer Union. What better way to celebrate The Poly's anniversary than by producing a special edition? Join us as we design a publication commemorating our history. See how the production process has changed over the years, peruse our office archives, and go back to being an editor or writer once again.
