Athletic Affinities Collaboration
Over the years, the Office of Alumni Relations has partnered with each of the athletic teams to provide database services, help in the planning alumni/ae games, anniversary and milestone celebrations, recognition events, special events, and leverage resources for major weekends such as Homecoming and Big Red Freakout. Through this partnership, we hope to help encourage all athletic alumni to return to campus.
We look forward to further collaboration with various teams. Below are some ways you may work with our office.

Services for Athletic Affinities:
- Database
- Let us act as your database. We can store your alumni/ae biographical and participation information, and provide lists of alumni/ae, mailing labels, and e-mail addresses, as needed. We only ask that you help us keep it up-to-date with any biographical information that you receive.
- Over 10,000 updates per month are made to the alumni database. To help us make sure your alumni are included in these updates, we ask that you include a reference to the athletic address update form in all e-mail and print information sent to alumni. Athletic alumni may update their information by clicking here.
- Major campus weekends
- If you wish to leverage off Homecoming and Big Red Freakout, we will help you advertise, and incorporate your events into the activities that are being planned for these major weekends.
- Being part of a major weekend gives your alumni even more incentive to come back to campus.
- Dates to Remember:
- Big Red Freakout 2010 – February 20
- Homecoming 2010 – October 15-17
- Homecoming 2011 – Sept. 30 - Oct. 2
- Milestone Anniversary Celebrations (50th, 75th, etc.)
- A great reason to celebrate is a milestone, such as “30 Years of Women’s Basketball at RPI,” the 1,000th win, etc. Let us know when you are planning events so that we can help you advertise and celebrate these special occasions.
- Heffner Alumni House
- The Heffner Alumni House is available for special anniversaries, milestone events, dinners, receptions, etc. To reserve the Heffner Alumni House, contact Michael O'Neill at oneilm2@rpi.edu.
