A MESSAGE FROM THE CHAPTER PRESIDENT:
I might as well also report on the Atlanta area engineering school council idea that I proposed last year. I contacted 30 colleges about it and got a respectable response. Southern Tech in Marietta agreed to be the local host school, but not a single school has followed up, including them. I'll try again soon and see if I can get them to actually do more than talk this time. The idea was that a group of technically oriented school alumni groups would form a local consortium to share a few alumni events and thus get a larger critical mass to permit more and stronger events. If any of you think you can help with this, I sure can use some ideas and help.
So there you have it. Lots of good sounding things going into the pipeline but not much dribbling out yet. A few volunteers would help things along! Call or email me if you would like to get involved or help plan an event. Again, your ideas are always welcome.
