Jackie Masloff ’75 Awarded the RAA Director’s Award

Congratulation to Jackie Masloff ’75 for winning the 2007-2008 Director's Award. This special recognition is presented by the Office of Alumni Relations to individuals who have made significant contributions to the success of the Office of Alumni Relations and to the Rensselaer Alumni Association.

Jackie has been a long time member of the Boston Chapter and has held the Treasurer position for 25 years. She is always the first to submit her chapter financial statements to the RAA and provide updated contact info to Rensselaer. In 1995 when the Boston Chapter almost fell apart, Jackie was the one who got it back on track.  She contacted Troy for help and hosted a few meetings to rally the troops and get the Chapter going again. Every Chapter President says they don’t know how they would manage the extensive data collection and financial bookkeeping for the numerous chapter events without Jackie.

Congratulations to Jackie for her superior dedication and contribution to the Office of Alumni Relations and the Boston Alumni Chapter.

Life Science Alumni Yahoo Group

RPI graduates in life sciences (or those working in life sciences today) are invited to join a non-affiliated online Yahoo group for networking, etc. The group formed in January 2007 and has quickly grown to over 100 members with diverse backgrounds.

Members include scientists and engineers working in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and life science software companies, lawyers, consultants, academics physicians and scientists, Rensselaer professors, and many more. The group will be an excellent vehicle for networking and keeping up with the growing presence of life sciences at Rensselaer.
