Volunteer Opportunities

As with other geographically large chapters, it will be our goal to have regional coordinators who will organize and run events in their areas, and it is my hope that we also organize one or two region-wide events a year. If you live in or near a major metropolitan area in the Carolinas and would like to organize alumni events locally, I would like to talk with you.

I’m tentatively looking for people in or near:
+ the Triangle (Raleigh/Durham/Cary/Chapel Hill), NC
+ Fayetteville, NC
+ Greensboro, NC
+ Columbia, SC
+ Charleston, SC
+ Greenville/Spartanburg, SC

Running alumni events is a great way to make personal and business contacts, improve your professional and organizational skills, and enhance RPI’s status in the community. You get to meet and work with fellow alumni you probably never knew lived near you.

With your help, we can create an effective and close-knit Chapter and you can be involved from the start. If you wish to be part of the Chapter, contact Jeffrey Freed '83 at home at (704) 503-0423 or email me at rtpalum@alum.rpi.edu. I hope to hear from you soon!
