7th Annual Career Night 2008
Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at 5:30 p.m.
The Rensselaer Alumni Association – Hartford Chapter will hold its 7th Annual Career Night on June 18, 2008. With the changing landscape in career orientation moving toward increased small entrepreneurial ventures and new business start-ups, the program will host an expert panel that will provide insight into career aspects in today’s marketplace.
The panel will not only address the start-up and entrepreneurial nature of today’s market, but also the career positioning that can be achieved. Each panelist will have an opportunity to present their key considerations relative to the basic focus of the evening in 10 minute intervals. This will be followed by a Q & A session, lasting approximately 30 minutes. The remainder of the evening will be open-ended at the discretion of the panelists and attendees in order to allow more personal exchanges and networking between attendees as well as between attendees and panelists.
The evening will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a light dinner. The formal program will begin at 6 p.m. and with the close nominally set at 8:30 p.m.
Registration and panelist information will be posted shortly.
Exclusive Behind-the-Scenes Tour of the Bronx Zoo
Sunday, June 22, 2008, at 8:30 a.m.
Please join the Rensselaer Clubs of Westchester, New York City/Long Island, Connecticut, and New Jersey, for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the world-famous Bronx Zoo. We welcome Rensselaer alumni, current and incoming students, and their families to join us for this fun-filled event! This will be a great opportunity to meet and share Rensselaer experiences with your fellow alumni, these outstanding students, and their families, as we enjoy a relaxing day at the Bronx Zoo.

- An elegant buffet breakfast at the Zoo Terrace to start our day. The deluxe breakfast will feature scrambled eggs, french toast with cinnamon, hot and cold cereal, bacon strips, home fries, mini danish, bagels, mini-muffins, fresh fruit, orange juice, Green Mountain regular and decaf coffee, and herbal teas.
- Early and free admission to the Children's Zoo at 9:30 a.m. for Rensselaer alumni, students and families only. This cozy, three-acre setting is a fantasy for young explorers.
