Classes Ending in 3 or 8, Register Now for Reunion!

Each year, Reunion gets better and better! Fun new events like a luau and fireworks are a great chance to socialize with classmates, and Dr. Jackson's State of the Institute Address, tours, and Alumni College will educate and inform you. Much of the program will appeal to families. Be prepared to have an unforgettable weekend. (NOTE: The Class of 2003 will celebrate their 5th Reunion at Homecoming, Oct. 17-19. Click here for Homecoming information.)

NEW Registration Location!
Your first stop on campus is Reunion Registration at the Rensselaer Union on 15th Street. Enjoy refreshments and meet classmates in the McNeil Room, where class-specific information and Personal Update Forms will be available. Event locations will be listed in the program you will receive when you arrive.

Registration Hours
Thursday: 9:30 a.m.–7 p.m.
Friday: 8 a.m.–8 p.m.
Saturday: 8 a.m.–4 p.m.

Campus Facilities
The pool, exercise facilities at the Mueller Center, the library, and the Bookstore will be open during Reunion.

Parking
During Reunion, you may park in any campus lot. You must have a permit for handicapped spaces, and rules for use of fire lanes and hydrants remain in effect. Please note that the meters on 15th Street are Troy City meters, and if you park there without paying the meter, you will be ticketed.

Shuttle Bus Service
A shuttle bus will run a continuous circuit between the Heffner Alumni House, the Rensselaer Union, and Barton Hall throughout the weekend. However, the driver can take you to other campus destinations.

Childcare
Children are welcome at all Reunion events.  For your convenience, however, childcare is available for Friday and Saturday evenings at a cost of $25 per child per night. Services are provided by Samaritan-Rensselaer Children’s Center, a fully licensed facility that provides service for Rensselaer employees.  This service is paid in advance on the registration form.

Cancellations
Cancellations received prior to May 30 will be refunded in full. Sorry, we cannot make refunds on cancellations received after May 30, as final counts will have been submitted and we must pay in full for you even if you do not attend.

What Should I Wear?
Nearly every event is casual, which means shorts, sandals or whatever makes you comfortable.  The only dress-up events are the Saturday night class dinners, and the Class of 1958 50th Reunion Dinner which are business casual.  For the Red & White Bash we encourage you to wear RPI colors – red and white! For the Luau, we encourage attendees to wear a Hawaiian shirt.

Special Alumni Speaker - Edward J. Zander '68, Chairman, Motorola, and Rensselaer Trustee

Edward J. Zander, 60, is chairman of the board of Motorola, Inc., and a member of Rensselaer's Board of Trustees since 2006. We have the distinct honor of hearing from this extraordinary leader in the technology industry at Reunion 2008.
Zander

Since beginning at Motorola in January 2004, Zander brought a wealth of experience and a keen understanding of the emerging challenges and opportunities in the communications space. He has successfully reorganized the company, overseen the introduction of several exciting new products and sharpened Motorola's focus on innovation and operational efficiency. Zander entered his position with over 25 years of experience in the technology industry.

Prior to joining Motorola, he was a managing director of Silver Lake Partners, a leading private equity fund focused on investments in technology industries. Before that, he served as president and chief operating officer of Sun Microsystems. Zander received a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Rensselaer, and a master's degree in business administration and an honorary Ph.D. from Boston University.

Please plan to join us for what promises to be an interesting and educational presentation!
