Troy Bus Tour – "Silicon Valley of the 19th Century"
Join Tom Carroll, Ph.D., executive director of the Hudson Mohawk Industrial Gateway, to visit sites such as the Poestenkill Gorge, the Burden Iron Works Museum, and the remains of the Erie Canal, and hear how Rensselaer’s history is intertwined with that of Troy, and indeed, of the nation. This tour fills up fast!

Students will host tours for those who would enjoy walking the hills of campus to see interesting venues such as the George M. Low Gallery, the Alumni Hall of Fame windows, the new Center for Biotechnology and Interdisciplinary Studies, and the Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center which is nearing completion. Wear comfortable shoes!

The pool, exercise facilities at the Mueller Center, the library, and the Bookstore will be open during Reunion.
Childcare
Children are welcome at all Reunion events. For your convenience, however, childcare will be available for Friday and Saturday evenings at a cost of $25 per child per night. Services are provided by Samaritan-Rensselaer Children's Center, a fully licensed facility that provides service for Rensselaer employees. This service is paid in advance on the registration form, which will be arriving in the next few weeks.
Shuttle Bus Service
A shuttle bus will run a continuous circuit between the Heffner Alumni House, the Rensselaer Union, and Barton Hall during the weekend. The driver will also take you to other campus destinations if asked. |
