Student/Alumni Connections

You know how important having a good network is to your future. Do you know how easy it is to make those connections right now with Rensselaer alumni?

There are close to 90,000 alumni around the world in an amazing variety of fields who will help you:

  • Find an internship
  • Get a great co-op
  • Give you career advice
  • Help you land a job after you graduate
  • Guide you in adjusting to life in a new city

How will you meet these alumni? Below are the many ways both on campus and while you are home to make alumni connections.

You are always welcome at these events, which are a terrific way to make connections with alumni. Click here for a list of regional and international chapters, or click here to learn more about professional affinities.

Reunion Student Host Program
Every June, alumni return to celebrate milestone Reunions for their class - 5th, 25th, even their 75th. Current students act as hosts for returning alumni, showing them the changes on campus, telling them about Rensselaer today, and listening to stories of what the campus was like when they were here. Alumni consistently say that the Reunion Student Hosts are one of their favorite parts of returning to campus. Sign up now! Contact Geoff Seber at seberg@rpi.edu or (518) 276-2324.

Hindsight 20/20 Program - If i knew then what I know now...
We asked young alumni to give advice to current students on what they would have done differently if they could do it all again. Click here to see what some of them said.

Rensselaer Alumni Association Back-to-Campus Speaker Series
This program brings alumni with significant life achievements to campus to speak with students on topics of current interest. Past topics have included alternative energy, gaming, the Mars Rover missions, wireless communication, and space tourism. Meet alumni at the forefront of their industries, and learn from them how their Rensselaer experience helped them become successful.
