RPI Class of 1968
40th
Reunion
June 5-8, 2008
Our year, 1968, stands out in modern American History as a year of tumultuous change. We graduated against a national backdrop of student rebellions at Columbia and other universities, of assassinations of Dr. King and Bobby Kennedy, of the Vietnam War, and of President Johnson’s decision not to run for reelection. Yet as the leading edge of the baby boom generation, we graduated into a world with great opportunity. At our 40th reunion perhaps we should stop, reflect, take stock of our accomplishments, and in some small way rekindle the flame that burned in 1968.
For those who have never attended an RPI reunion, the Institute makes the weekend worthwhile and memorable. The picnic, the dinners, the tours and lectures on campus, the parade of classes, and the long breakfasts at the hotel provide ample opportunity to talk, reminisce, catch up with old friends, make some new friends, and overall share our very unique common bond.
