Parade Theme and Information!

Music Television (MTV) was launched in 1981 - right in the middle of our years at RPI! We thought this would be a fun theme for our parade. We will have music mixed with space props / costumes to lend some originality.

What was the first song played on MTV? "Video Killed The Radio Star" by the Buggles!

What were the first words when the show was launched? "Ladies and gentleman, rock and roll!"

On-Campus Concerts

Some of the most note-able include Robert Hazard, The Clash, J.R. Montrose, David Johansen, Blotto, and Paul Barrere and friends.
